Product detailed description
The HIKMICRO STELLAR SQ50LR 4.0, part of the new flagship series, is a thermal rifle scope with an integrated rail for a saddle mount of the type used on Blaser rifles, designed for reliable observation in demanding conditions. A 640 × 512 px sensor with a NETD below 12 mK and a 50mm F1.0 lens deliver detailed thermal images with a detection range of up to 2600 m on a 1.8 m target. Base magnification is 3.5x and the laser rangefinder built into the lens measures out to 1200 m.

- Image Pro 4.0, Zoom Pro, Sync Pro, HSIS, adaptive brightness
The 640 × 512 px (12 μm) thermal core and thermal sensitivity below 12 mK capture richer thermal information and finer temperature differences. In practice your decision rests on the detail you can read out of a heat signature rather than on its outline. Compared with the previous STELLAR 3.0 generation, the sensor is noticeably more sensitive.

The magnification range is 3.5x–28x. The 3.5x base magnification is set so that the target occupies a usable part of the image the moment you raise the scope, with no need to zoom in first and lose image quality. The minimum focusing distance is 10 m.
The laser rangefinder, with a range of 1200 m, measures with ±1 m accuracy and holds its accuracy, stability and penetration in poor weather. On this model the imaging and rangefinder modules share a single housing and both are visible at the objective lens.
The 1.03" AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 × 2560 px offers a larger viewing area, so more of the image and more detail are visible at once. An 8 mm exit pupil and 55 mm eye relief (6 mm / 45 mm on the previous generation) allow more freedom in head and eye position without losing a clean sight picture. Adaptive screen brightness adjusts automatically to the ambient light once the function has been switched on in the menu.
Focus is set with a side wheel on the body and digital zoom has its own rotating ring. Smart shutterless correction (HSIS) keeps the thermal image continuously visible without freezing, so nothing interrupts your tracking.
Three HIKMICRO algorithms process the image. Image Pro 4.0 continuously reads the scene and adapts to the conditions in real time, Zoom Pro preserves clarity and fine detail as you zoom in, and Sync Pro minimises the gap between what happens in front of the scope and what appears on the display, so a moving target is easier to follow.
The integrated Zeiss Rail on the scope body takes a quick-detach saddle mount, as used on Blaser rifles. The connection between optic and rifle is as clean as on premium day scopes. The mount is not included in the package and must be purchased separately. If you prefer conventional mounting rings, the same optical configuration is available as the SQ50L 4.0 with a 30 mm tube.
64GB of built-in memory stores stills and video with sound, and recoil-activated recording starts a clip automatically at the shot. For precise shooting there is a ballistic calculator, five zeroing profiles, Freeze Zeroing and a click value of 1.3 cm at 100 m for fine corrections to the point of aim. Over USB-C the device can be powered, charged and used to transfer data; it connects wirelessly to the HIKMICRO Sight app through its own hotspot.
The scope is rated IP67 and works from -30°C to 55°C, so rain and frost are not an issue. The construction can withstand recoil of 6000 J, so you can confidently mount it on high-calibre rifles. It runs on two built-in batteries together with a replaceable 18650 cell — together they deliver up to 9.5 hours of continuous operation at 25°C with the rangefinder on. The replaceable battery is always used first; the built-in cells only after that. Only the built-in batteries charge over USB-C; the replaceable cell charges in the supplied charger, and two of these cells come in the box. A standby mode reduces consumption.
